It could be argued Rockabilly is the fount from whence all Rock ‘n’ Roll – indeed Pop music has sprung. A sacred marriage of black rhythm & blues and white country music, conjured up in a segregated USA – the world would never be the same again.
This new incendiary music swept the United States in the early 1950’s creating the perfect storm for a post war youth culture that would endure the decades.
This album (Vol 1) showcases the roots of that ‘Rebel’ phenomenon featuring some of the great, dynamic artists that helped define that original sound.
