The sixth album from Liverpool’s Floatation Project – aka Paul Hemmings (The La’s/ The Lightning Seeds). His second album ‘Sounds from the Solar System’, was described as ‘Sharing the same territory as Krautrock pieces like Kraftwerk’s ‘Europe Endless’ and Can at their most hypnotic’ ( Tim Peacock. Journalist for RC etc ) & ‘Fascinating, unsettling and unique’ ( Rough Trade ). This new release titled ‘Annihilation, channels the state of the world we live in, with conflicts and destruction. Influenced by this dark energy & using vintage musical equipment/synths, it conjures up harsh and industrial soundscapes. The track ‘ Annihilation’ features the vocals of Tommy Scott ( Space ).
